OAKEDGE SHOOTING GROUND IS SITUATED ON OAKEDGE PARK (THE A513 MILFORD TO WOLSELEY BRIDGE ROAD) BORDERING CANNOCK CHASE, OFFERING 75 ACRES OF SCENERY SECOND TO NONE. WE AIM TO GIVE OUR VISITORS EXCELLENT SHOOTING IN BEAUTIFUL AND PRIVATE SURROUNDINGS FOR A TRULY MEMORABLE DAY OUT. WE PRIDE OURSELVES ON OUR FRIENDLY WELCOME, TIDY GROUNDS, AND VARIETY OF TARGETS (12 STANDS WHICH ARE CHANGED FORTNIGHTLY) TO ACCOMMODATE THE NOVICE SHOOTER TO THE SEASONED GAME SHOOTER.

OUR "PLUG AND PAY" SYSTEM CAN BE USED BY SOLO SHOOTERS, COUPLES OR SMALL GROUPS, AND INSTRUCTION WILL BE GIVEN IF YOU ARE NOT FAMILIAR WITH OUR SYSTEM. IT IS PERMITTED TO BRING A NON-CERTIFICATE HOLDER WITH YOU SUBJECT TO THEM SIGNING A SECTION 21 DECLARATION IN THE CLUB HOUSE.

TUITION - NOVICE TO EXPERT

At Oakedge we have friendly qualified instructors with years of experience, who can help you whether you are a complete newcomer to the sport, if you're a competent shooter needing to practise a specific troublesome target, or if you have your eye on future competitions and really want to excel. We provide both private and group lessons, and cater for all ages (we have children currently shooting with us of 8 years old). We have a range of guns available to suit both men and women, young and old.

We also run shooting experiences, which are a general introduction to clay shooting, and last approximately 40 mins. This includes the use of a gun, clays, cartridges, and eye and ear protection.

We have dedicated training stands which are off the beaten track and allow novices to practise without the pressure of an audience. These targets are specifically designed to boost your confidence, train your eye, and hone your skills before you venture out onto the main course.
